Pool was not open. All ice machines broken. Room smelled bad.

Hotel looked like it was 30+ years old both in decorating and peeling paint. Staff placed people in rooms that never had housekeeping make up the rooms. Keys didn't work for the rooms. Nothing on this exit. When told I didn't get maid service didn't seem to care.

Based upon the hotel, I would never recommend that anyone stay at an Econolodge.
The service and ease of use are unmatchable.

The first room had holes in the curtains. Rusty bathtub facet. Lot of flying bugs. I think they might be flees. We asked for another room and got one with an air condition that needed repair and asked for a third room that was in fair condition. ...read more

When I requested the manageress to move my disabled son to another room as his had no fridge or microwave, I was told they could not help. This is unacceptable. My wife and I were put into a room which was filthy. There were items in the fridge (spills everywhere) and food which had dropped between the bed and the dresser table, all over the floor. This was a rip off, it was noisy. This hotel was overpriced.

I attended a convention that had contracted with many hotels in the Greensboro area. My hotel was not one of them, and now I know why. It was difficult to find. During six days there, I never had a hot shower that wasn't interrupted by bone chilling cold spells. Their breakfast bar sounded nice; the only morning we tried it, the juice machine and coffee machine would not work. I spent the next mornings in local restaurants for breakfast. The front door to the hotel stuck at about half way open, and had to be man-handled to get in. Interestingly enough, the door to our room was the same. The ice machine closest to our room worked the first day. I had to hunt for the next nearest machine the rest of the time. One morning we slept in, with the "do not disturb" sign on the door. We left around noon. When we returned that night, the room had not been serviced: no towels, wash clothes, or even coffee pouch for the little coffee machine. Never again! ...read more
